Junior Golf Clinics & Camps

 

 

Get off to a great start with this junior golf clinic/camp series that will teach them the proper fundamentals. This program will provide the foundation of a skill set that will help the junior golfer advance to the best of their ability. We will cover all aspects of the game and use training aids that will help develop their skills. Clinics will be tailored accordingly for each student’s level of play.  Camps cover a wider range from beginner to advanced tournament players.

 

Junior Golf Clinics

  • (4) 60 min. golf clinics
  • Phil Cornetta Golf school Model
  • Ages 8-12
  • 12 Students Max (Min. 3 students)
  • Ability: Beginner & Intermediate Golfers

Clinic #2:                    June 3, 10, 17, 24

WEEK 1: Full Swing Fundamentals

  1. Discuss full swing mechanics with irons
  2. Discuss the different grip and wrist positions and how they influence the club-face throughout the golf swing
  3. Discuss proper setup mechanics based on club selection and how to properly aim to the intended target
  4. Work on full swing sequence
  5. Discuss correct body & club mechanics

 

WEEK 2: Full Swing Fundamentals (Continued)

  1. Review of full swing fundamentals
  2. Introduce driver swing, fairway woods, & hybrids
  3. Discuss differences between driver setup and iron setup
  4. Work on full swing sequence
  5. Discuss correct body & club mechanics

 

WEEK 3: Short Game & Putting Fundamentals

  1. Discuss short game fundamentals
  2. Discuss chipping & pitching fundamentals (station 1)
  3. Discuss putting fundamentals (station 2)
  4. Rotate stations
  5. Work on basic green reading skills & chipping versatility

 

WEEK 4: On-site Course Playing Clinic

  1. Discuss basic rules of golf & proper etiquette
  2. Playing strategy & course management
  3. Pre-shop routine & club selection
  4. Navigating trouble shots

 

 

JUNIOR Golf Camps:

Junior Camp Format:

 

Hour 1: Full Swing training/coaching and video analysis review

Each student will receive a slow motion video analysis review of their golf swing. The instructor will highlight the key areas that need the most work and provide drills and training.

 

Hour 2: Short Game and Putting Fundamentals

Review of chipping and pitching, bunker play and putting mechanics. Putting contest and games.

 

Hour 3: On-Course Play on the Par 3

Discuss basic rules of golf and proper etiquette. Introduce playing strategies and course management. Learn how to navigating trouble shots and bad lies. Tournament Formats and fun games/contests

*Fridays reserved as a makeup date in case of inclement weather.
